MISSION

The New Gathering is a Mission Centered church endeavoring to provide the peace (Shalom) of God for all people.  Peace comes through knowing the Prince of Peace; our mandate is to preach the Gospel to all people.  

Our ministry is holistic in nature; reaching and meeting people where they are, e.g., in whatever spiritual, psychological, economic, and/or social condition, and in making disciples of people in every sector of our society. 

Our mission includes partnering with churches locally and internationally in response to the Great Commission and to further the purposes of God.  Mission focuses include:

• Equipping Believers: Preparing believers for the work God has ordained for their lives. (Eph. 4:11-12)

• Serving People & Communities: Loving our neighbor as we love ourselves. (Matt.22:37-39)

1. Serve and impact our communities, cities, and the world with the love and wisdom of God. Teaching good stewardship and seeking justice for all.

2. Walk with and serve the poor and marginalized. Create opportunities for economic empowerment, psychological renewal, and community transformation. (Acts 1:8)

3. Bring restoration to individuals and families. (Acts 16:31, Lk. 4:18)) Restored individuals produce healthy families, and restored families produce healthy communities

• Reaching the world for Christ / Responding to the call of God:

1. Lead in the reconciliation of people to God, and of people to each other (2Cor. 5:19)

2. Pursue the abundant life God intended for us; living in relationship with Him (Jn. 10:10, Matt. 22; 37-39)

3. Engage our world with the glorious gospel of the Kingdom
